May 20 - Aug 31

We’re launching a contest for the best web scraping tutorials for our blog and YouTube channel. There are 5 rewards up for grabs:

  • 1st place 🥇 $1,000 in platform credits
  • 2nd place 🥈 $500 in platform credits
  • 3rd - 5th places 🥉 $250 in platform credits

Who can enter, and what are the rules?

The competition is open for any developer who uses the Apify platform to build web scrapers or automation tools. Your submission should be a stand-alone tutorial for developers that demos a step-by-step process to achieving a particular web scraping or automation goal with the Apify platform.

Videos should be horizontal and can be any length between 2 and 10 minutes. See our recent content on our YouTube channel for inspiration.

Blog posts should be a minimum of 1,000 words. See our blog for reference.

The deadline for submissions is August 31.

How does it work?

  • Choose your topic (see the ideas below for inspiration).
  • Send your idea to us to check and give you feedback. Just email marketing@apify.com (use tutorial competition as your subject line). In your email, you should include:
  1. The title of your video or article
  2. Why it’s helpful for developers
  3. A list of the steps you’ll cover
  • If your idea is approved, we’ll let you know, and you can create your video or write your article (you can upload videos to Google Drive, WeTransfer, or Dropbox, and articles with Notion, Google Doc, or Word Doc) and submit it to us at marketing@apify.com.
  • The winners will be announced on our social media channels and Discord, and the successful tutorials will be published on our YouTube channel or blog. The awarded credits will be applied to your Apify account over a period of three months.
